When laying tile start in the middle input a chalk line and move outward to the walls is how it should be done.

All grout gets dirty, so sealant is important, but also you can refresh white grout easier.

Do not use a mop on your white grout…EVER. Even the smallest amount of dirt in the water makes your grout dirty. It’s a small bathroom…do it by hand as you did when you grouted it. 😃

My dad and I just tiled my bathroom and closet floors and today we starting on my lounge. My body is already dreading it especially my knees. Have knee pads but they keep moving but when it's done it's done.

It looks so lovely Abby, well done! Love the white grout too, and you're already looking into sealing it so definitely do that. It's not so much soap scum as foot dirt that makes your floor tiles grubby, like when you come in the back door to wash your hands. Sealing will make it a breeze to mop and keep clean!

I had white grout and five kids if I had a stain used Colgate toothpaste .

Suggestion. If you can avoid using rubber backed floor mats, do it. I had issues on tile floors. Not fun.

You have done a great job Abby! What really amazes me the the relationship you worked out with Jay. He is SUCH a patient and expert teacher. You were incredibly lucky to get him. I, for one, would be interested in knowing the back story on how you were able to find him and talk him into helping you. It is absolutely NONE of my business, but i would be curious as to what the pay arrangement is -- by the hour, by the project, etc, etc. Anyway, my compliments on your progress!

Bleach and q tips. Thats all you need for whitening dull or dirty white grout. You'll be fine.
